Huntley is 4 Months Old!!

Huntley turned 4 months old a week ago! Wow! He is getting so big and long! He seems so tall..Anyway, he is still taking 6 ounces every 3 hours, although sometimes we stretch it out to 4. He has not started on rice cereal yet, we have an appointment next week with is pediatrician and I know he is going to say its time..He is still wearing his size 2 diapers..he is wearing a 6-9 months in most of his clothes, if its a sleeper he needs a 9 months for the length..for his cute little summer outfits that are short he can wear a 6 months..we are getting his first pair of big boy sandals today size 2, I will post a pic soon..up until now he only wears socks, occasionally Robeez, and his sweet little monogrammed shoes for church that he is outgrowing! I believe when he went the doc for a stuffy nose he was 27 inches and weighed 16 lbs. The nurse said that his length is off the charts! He is in love with his feet..both of them..he stares at them when he cannot get to them just imagining putting them in his mouth..when we try to change his diaper all he wants to do is hold his feet and try to put them in his mouth..everything goes in his mouth and he drools like crazy..he is a hair puller, which anyone who has hair that holds him quickly finds out! He is still sleeping through the night pretty well..he is very spoiled and wants to be held a good bit, but we try to entertain him with his bouncy seat, swing, floor gym, ultrasaucer, jumperoo, whatever will make him content!

We took a few pictures after we went to church Sunday. We visited Fairview Baptist Church which I loved!! I have been wanting to visit this church since before Huntley was born and I am so glad we got to go.

Notice Huntley is not in any of these pictures, that is because he was napping and who would want to wake a sleeping baby!!

I have been tagged!!

Rules: List 5 things that you do or dont do for A) yourself, B) child, spouse or friend, C) Stranger
For myself
1. I go to school, it may not sound like alot of fun and at times it is not. However, going to school and furthering my education is a way of securing my future as well as my family's.
2. I DVR my favorite shows..i love Young and the Restless, Jon & Kate Plus 8, and Desperate Housewives (when it came on!)
3. I clean my house daily..even if it does not stay that way very long..I cannot stand for my house to be messy and I like for my husband and kids to have a clean house to live in!
4. I have lunch and dinner dates with my friends by myself as a way to catch up and it gives me a break!
5. Blogging has been a fun way for me to track my childrens' milestones and keep up with old friends as well as make new ones.

For my Spouse and Children
1. I pray for my children and husband daily..
2. I try to show my children individualized time daily..
3. For Blake, I try and make dinner for him when I can..it is usually something simple because I am not a great cook but he is always appreciative..
4. For Emma, I make sure that she is prepared for school and has everything she needs..we read her AR books together every night and I quiz her to make sure she is prepared for her test. I spend time with her outside..she loves to drive me through the neighborhood on the gator pretending she is a tram driver at disney world! We play on Webkinz together all the time..we stayed up really late one night during spring break playing and webkinz finally logged us of so they could maintenance the site! We watch her favorite shows like Hannah Montana together, we both get so excited when there is a new episode!
5. For Huntley, I spend the entire day meeting his needs..feeding him every 3 hours, changing him, bathing him, loving on him. My most favorite thing is just laying him in the floor and making him laugh! I read to him, sing to him (bless him!) tickle him! I most importantly make sure he is satisfied!

For Strangers
1. I work with people who have trouble communicating for whatever reason. So many of us take our ability to communicate for granted, but there are so many people who have impairments in speech and language and long to communicate..
2. I try to smile at everyone because I believe in the importance of first impressions..
3. I donate things that I no longer have any use for that is in good condition and I feel that someone else can benefit from..
4. I try to help out good causes like Operation Christmas Child and the Salvation Army bell ringers..
5. If I see someone trying to get out in traffic (and I am not incredibly late!) I try to let them out!

I tag Laura and Celeste! ( I hope you have not already been tagged!)

Happy 3 Month Birthday Huntley!

Huntley is 3 months old today, I can hardly believe it. It really does not feel like it has been 3 months. He is growing so fast and learning new things everyday it seems! He has just recently started to laugh out loud when he gets really excited and he loves to "talk" to us all the time! We call him our little jabber jaws!

Last week we had his handprints done at The Carousel in Columbus by Handprints by Mitzi. She did Emma's handprints when she was 1 and I was super excited about getting Huntley's done. For Huntley's we did the "daddy print" where Blake printed his hand with Huntley's on the inside and at the top it says Daddy & Huntley and at the bottom it says Daddy's Little Man with the year. I recommend if you hear that Mitzi is making an appearance that you schedule and appointment, this is such a great keepsake! Also, the daddy print makes a great father's day gift!

My Latest Purchase!

Someone told me about the Peanut Shell Sling for babies and I just had to check it out seeing how Huntley really loves to be held even when housework needs to be done! So, i ordered one today and I am hoping that Huntley and I enjoy it! I will post whether or not it is worth some other new moms investing in one!

Huntley is 10 weeks!

Yes, that's right my little man is already 10 weeks old! Where has the time gone? He went to the doc a couple of weeks ago and weighed 13 pounds 9.6 ounces (he's a big boy!) and he was 24 inches long! He has gained 5 pounds since his last visit and grown 2 inches! He loves to eat, he is taking 6 ounces every 3 hours unless he gets a good long nap in. He is currently still wearing his size 1-2 diapers (never heard of a 1-2 but my mom and nanny got him a box of Pampers from Sam's and that's what size it says they are) but as soon as we finish off this last package, we are moving on up to a size 2 diaper! He has outgrown all of his 0-3 month clothing, so sad, and I have been procrastinating about packing it up! He is fitting in a size 6 months well now which means I guess I will be selling all of those cute outfits on ebay that I bought from Fashion Apparel when I was guesstimating his size!

Jeans and Jewelry Day!

Here are some pics that I snapped of Emma stylin' in her jeans and new ear jewelry! She was so excited to show off her new earrings, she said she wanted to pull her hair back in a pony tail so everyone would be sure to see her earrings!

Look Who Has Pierced Ears!!

Emma decided yesterday that she was ready to have her ears pierced! Today is Jeans and Jewelry Day at school and my little fashion diva wanted to show off some sparkly new studs for the special day! She has been talking about doing it for a while, and she finally got the courage up to do it! I did not force her to do it, I told her when she was ready to get it done I would take her. I am so proud of how brave she was! She was alot braver than I ever could have been! She just made up her mind to do it and wanted to get it done and over with! So, Blake, Huntley, and I surprised her by picking her up from school early to take her to Claire's to have her ears pierced. She was super excited when I told her where we were going. As we walked into the mall, I think I was as nervous as she was but she was not backing down, she wanted to get it done! Since there was only one girl working at Claire's at the time she had to get one ear pierced at a time! I was a little concerned that after the first one she might not want the second one done, but after a few tears, she finally had pierced ears! The girl piercing her ears really bragged on how good she was! She is so proud of new earrings! She checks them out in the mirror every chance she gets, and when she walks up to you she puts her hair behind her ears so you will be sure to notice her new jewels!

Hardest Working Cleaning Lady I know!!

This is a picture of my wonderful Nanny who comes and cleans my house once a week as a way to help me out while I am in school! She works so hard while she is here, she will never know how much I appreciate her! I caught her scrubbing away on my shower doors the other day, and could not resist snapping this picture! I just love her so much and really appreciate her help!!
